European Regulation Changes

On March 27th, 2019, the European Commission published the 12th Adaptation to Technical Progress (ATP) of Regulation (EC) 1272/2009 on Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) of substances and mixtures, which adopts revisions 6 and 7 of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). The deadline for compliance with the updated CLP regulation is October 17th, 2020. Click here for a link to our previous blog with more information.

Preparing for the deadline

Manufacturers and importers of products sold in the European Union should be evaluating their products against the new requirements to determine any changes that result, such as re-classifications which would necessitate the update of Safety Data Sheets and product labels.
